The Cutler Community Center is located in the rolling hills of southeastern Ohio, approximately one mile from State Route 555 at 4550 Two Mile Run Road, Cutler, Washington County. Cutler sits halfway between Marietta, Ohio, and Athens, Ohio.

The one-story red brick building was originally built in 1960 as the Cutler Elementary School. Upon some shifting in the school district, the school was closed and the facility was offered to the Decatur Township Association and from that point turned over to community volunteers who have successfully operated the Center for 16 years, starting in 2009.

The Center has become a vital institution in the Cutler community. The building has a commercial kitchen, gymnasium, food pantry, library, fully equipped exercise room, office, meeting rooms, restrooms, ball field, and a playground. It makes an ideal location for local events with its one-level access and plenty of parking space.  Several organizations and groups meet there regularly: Western Washington County Seniors, Heritage and Legacy Society, Ladies Aid, Line Dancers Club, Native American group, and the 3C Food Pantry.

The Center is rented out for a myriad of events taking place upon scheduling including birthday parties, basket bingo fundraisers, family reunions, baby showers, graduation and anniversary parties, funerals and funeral reception dinners, and genealogy meetings – just to name a few.

The facility will soon be adding the Heritage and Legacy Museum displaying local history and artifacts.
